MEET OUR SUBTEAM LEADS

Hello! My name is Devin, and I am one of the captains on the team. During competition, I participate on the drive team as coach, which is by far my favorite aspect of robotics. I am an emphatic insect lover, and if I’m not in the robotics lab, I am probably wandering around in the Wissahickon.

hi!!! my name is Paige and i’m a junior! I’m the co-lead of both our Awards subteam. i live and breathe robotics, and I could probably spend hours talking about FIRST. If you're not careful, you might find yourself wrapped up in a conversation with me eagerly trying to convince you to join our Awards sub-team, and you'll never be able to escape. I can't wait for another lovely season!

​​​Hi, my name is Emma. I'm a co-captain of mechanics and safety captain. This is my second year doing robotics at SCH. Outside of my time in the robotics lab, I row and love to read.

Hi, I am Nick Donato. I am a junior and have been doing robotics at SCH since I came here. I am the Co-head of the Mechanical sub-team. I am almost always in the lab, whether It's for robotics, CAD/CAM class, or CEL capstone. I'm excited about this upcoming season, and I think this will be an excellent season for this team. During this summer, I sailed and taught sailing. It taught me some important lessons about being a good team leader. I play hockey during the winter at SCH, which is a fun sport.

Hi my name is Leo. I am a sophomore and co-head of the mechanical subteam, as well as being part of mechanical I am on the drive team and Awards and outreach. Outside of robotics I am part of my school's soccer team and JCC club. Some of my favorite projects I have worked on at my time on 1218 is redoing the pit and remaking our battery cart. 

My name is Cameron Lyon and I am co-representing the programming division for 1218. Starting all the way from FLL in 4th or 5th grade, I have been devoted toward the creation and competitive implementation of multiple robots throughout my school years. Being a co-head of this sub-team, my goals for the rest of my high school years are to continue to learn and help others learn as many parts of programming as possible.

Hi, I'm Shaun and I'm a co-head of programming, electrical, and pneumatics for 1218. I joined the programming sub-team because I think programming, math, and computers are super interesting and I'd like to learn more about them and teach others about them as well. I've loved my time on this team so far, and I can't wait to see how far we can go. In addition to robotics I row and play squash.

Hi, I'm Karina. I'm a co-lead of the programming and electrical sub team. I'm a senior and I've participated in FIRST since middle school. When I'm not doing robotics I'm playing video games or petting my cats. My favorite class is AP Physics. Computer science is my passion!

Hi, I’m Aaron. I’m a co-lead of the Awards subteam, and I also do a lot of work with strategy, data, and programming for the team. Outside of robotics, I like to play squash, chess, and play video games.

Hello, I’m Alec and I am a co-lead of the media subteam. During the season, I edit a lot of the videos posted on YouTube and work on graphic-design related projects. Outside of robotics, I still enjoy doing video editing and graphic design, but I also am a big fan of football (go Lions), fantasy sports, and video games.

Hi, my name is Brendan. I'm in 11th grade here at SCH and I am a co-lead of the Media Team. When I'm not filming videos, taking pictures, posting online, or graphic designing I am most likely helping build in the lab. Aside from robotics I play a lot of baseball, which is a unique and fun task to balance.

Hi, my name is Judah, and I’m a co-lead of the Business and Branding Subteam. When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy listening to music, playing piano, hanging out with friends, and trying new foods.

Hi, my name is Logan, and I’m a co-lead of the Business and Branding Subteam. When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy skiing, playing Fortnite, hanging out with friends, and listening to music.

Hi, I’m Arjun and I’m a Head of the scouting and strategy sub-team! I focus on planning out our match strategy, alliance selections, and helping with setting up our scouts for success. I’m really excited for the year to come! Besides robotics, I love playing video games (especially Madden), baking, and playing tennis!

Hi! I’m Connor, and I am the head of CAD/CAM. I first came to the SCHool in 8th grade. I enjoy taking as many engineering classes as I can. When I am not at school I enjoy watching the Green Bay Packers dominate all other teams. Without a doubt, Jordan Love is the GOAT. I am excited to see how 1218 will perform this year.
