Our 2024 COmpetitions
Mount Olive
Team 1218 had high spirits when coming into the Mount Olive district event. By the end of the qualifiers, we learned a great deal of crucial information and ended up placing rank 15, This ranking got us placed in the second alliance and paired us with Team 11 (MORT) and Team 2577 (Pingry Robotics). Unfortunately, we got eliminated fairly early in the playoffs, but thanks to our programming team and their hard work, we received the Innovation in Control award.
SCH Academy
The SCH event started off with a bang, as we were undefeated on day 1. Unfortunately that came to an end in day 2, and after qualification matches ended, we ranked 6th overall. We joined 5181 and 6808 in alliance, and were unfortunately eliminated in the playoffs with a record of 1-2. However, the robots were not the highlight of this competition. Lehigh Valley
Team 1218 was on the edge of their seats going into this event. Being ranked 36th in the district, we would need a miracle to qualify for the World Championship. We ranked 23rd after qualifications, and knew our chances were low. But, with an alliance of 103 and 2607, along with the Quality Award, team 1218 achieved enough points to qualify for Houston! World Championship
Team 1218's main goal at this event was to have fun, which was a definite success. Before the competition, we travelled to the Houston Space Museum and saw some amazing things about space. Over the next few days at the competition, we managed to be ranked 15th PLACE!! And then we didn't get selected during alliance selection. But, we went to the arcade and had a ton of fun there.
