Team 1218 built what we loving call the "Flying Pig." Built to be squat below 18 inches so it could travel under elements, it also had pneumatic tires to help grip and flex when maneuvering over bumps in the defenses.
You had to drive fast over speed bumps to avoid suspension issues which caused the robot to 'fly'. This was a tough game on the wear and tear on robots, which affected the reliability of our clever shooting device.

We started off with a bang, both winning the Engineering Excellence Award and the Hatboro Horsham District Event with alliance partners 2590- Nemesis and 5407- Wolfpack. This was followed by our winning the Quality Award at the SCH District Event and the District Chairman's Award at Wesstown District Event. Winning the Regional Engineering Inspiration Award at the FIRST Mid-Atlantic District Championship sealed our qualification for the World Championship.
