This was the first time there would be three teams in an alliance of 3 robots against 3 robots. The new game format meant there would be more frequent playing opportunities during the season.
Team 1218 continued to grow and build our technical capabilities. Chestnut Hill Academy started offering "Intro to Engineering" class for juniors and seniors, as a result of our team success and interest among robotics participants to further develop their skills. Interest in engineering as a potential college major was building.
The objective of Triple Play was to place "tetras" on the larger goals, creating rows of three by having a tetra of your alliance's color at the highest point of the goal. It required quick thinking by the drives and operators to optimize the field for their alliance.
