Using unique triangular wheels with co-axial shafts and a telescoping grappling hook enabled Team 1218 to perform extremely well at the Philadelphia Regional earning a trip to Atlanta for the World Championship. 1218 excelled qualifying in 1st place in the Galileo Division. Together with alliance partners 469- Las Guerillas and 868- TechHounds, we won the Galileo Division and made our first trip to the Einstein field for the semifinals and finals.
We lost our first semifinal match, but came back sharply to win the next two and move on to the finals. 1218 again lost the first match but repeated the comeback in the 2nd round. The World Championship hung on a tie breaking match which we unfortunately lost, finishing second in the world in our second year of Competition.
